Conversation overheard this morning while I was running out the door to get to work:

Plum: Daddy!  Is the Earth going to become a Black Hole one day?

MK: No, I don’t think so.  I don’t think the mass of the Earth is big enough.  Maybe the sun.  Yeah, the sun might turn into a Black Hole one day.

Plumster has been expressing her anxiety about all sorts of natural disasters: earthquake, drought, tsunami, tornado, avalanche, you name it.  Great, now she has to worry about the SUN turning into a Black Hole.   She ruminated over this new information.  Then…

Plum: Daddy!  Are you familiar with the Big Bang theory?

MK: Yes.

Plum, now even more animated: At first, there was a big mess of everything…
