Being A Pedestrian In LA: Auto-Monki

SCAN0086

I stopped by the library after work to borrow a couple of books for Plum.  There was no parking by the library, so I parked a few streets down and walked.

When I came out of the library, I automatically walked to the street to wait for the red light to change, right behind a car.  A car pulled up behind me.  It took me a few seconds to register that perhaps as a pedestrian, I would probably be better off waiting for the light change on the sidewalk.  And far better still to cross the street on the crosswalk instead of among these cars, during rush hour.

It’s been a long day for this Angeleno!
